Engineered in the UK, the Sontronics Corona is a dynamic vocal microphone designed to deliver a professional-sounding vocal tone for live performances, live streaming, and home recording. The supercardioid polar pattern yields tight frontal pickup with enhanced side rejection, while the dynamic capsule produces a frequency response of 50 Hz to 15 kHz, ideal for detailed speech and vocals without EQ. The Corona features an integrated stand mount for easy placement on any mic stand. Its balanced 3-pin XLR output allows standardized connectivity with a variety of mic preamps, audio interfaces, and mixers.

Sontronics CORONA Reviews
Great sound. Lousy hardware.
I purchased this mic because of the specs. It is really a great sounding mic for live vocals… (I play guitar and sing in a trio). I have used SM 58/57 mics for many years., My absolute BEST sounding vocal mic is a 40 year old EV1776. I bought this Sontronics Corona partly because of its retro look and, as stated above, because of its claims as being a great mic for live vocals… and that it is. HOWEVER!!! The mic assembly is heavy and does not use a clip type mount. The mic needs to be threaded onto your mic stand every time you use it. Then comes the adjustment for angle to sing into this mic. The wimpy wing bolt that is supposed to tighten and hold the mic in place STRIPPED the first time I tried to use it! I had to revert to my always handy SM58 in a standard mic clip to do our gig. I have since VOIDED my warranty and drilled out and re-threaded (to metric 6M) thread. It now has more thread to grab and hold and the mic now stays in place when I use it. For the price of this mic, the hardware should just work. Period.
Nice Mic
