The Sontronics Halo is a dynamic microphone engineered specifically for use on electric guitar amps. The mic offers a frequency response of 50 Hz to 15 kHz and produces an assertive guitar sound that is designed to cut through even busy mixes without needing a lot of EQ. The dynamic microphone capsule can handle very loud SPLs, allowing you to place the mic very close to the amp and take advantage of the proximity effect for more low end, if desired.
The mic's metal grille and integrated shockmount provide a distinctly retro appearance while helping to protect the capsule and reduce vibrations and handling noise. In addition to sounding great on guitar amps, the Halo is also recommended for capturing harmonicas and snare drums.
