Designed to be a true studio workhorse mic, the Sontronics Vintage Edition Mercury is a flexible tube condenser microphone well suited for use on vocals and a wide variety of instruments. The mic features a variable pickup pattern dial that allows you to sweep between cardioid, figure 8, and omnidirectional polar patterns—allowing the mic to be used for multiple applications. This vintage limited edition model features a pre-1970 Mullard M8162 tube to provide a rich, warm character with deep lows and a silky top end. A 75 Hz high-pass filter is on board to reduce unneeded low-end when necessary. The -10 dB pad can be engaged when you're recording louder sources, and the Mercury can handle up to 125 dB SPL.
