Get professional sounding instrument recordings without breaking the bank using the black STC-1 from Sontronics. Designed in Britain, this flexible small-diaphragm condenser microphone can be used on a wide variety of instruments and has been engineered to deliver sonic results rivaling far more expensive pencil mics. Well suited to recording acoustic guitars and other strummed instruments, the STC-1 can also be employed to capture strings, woodwinds, percussion, and brass. Adding a second mic (available separately) gives you a stereo tool kit ready to capture pianos, drum overheads, choirs, ensembles and more.
The mic features a 3-stage high-pass filter (Off / 75 Hz / 150 Hz), allowing you to reduce unwanted low-end, while a 3-stage pad (Off / -10 dB / -20 dB) lets you record loud sources at up to 137 dB. A mic clip, foam windshield, and wooden box for transport and storage are included.
