Godox WL8P Waterproof LED Light

The WL8P Waterproof LED Light from Godox offers a host of professional and convenience features, it is wide enough to seamlessly fit into any ambient light condition or match other fixtures and has a wide CCT range of 2400 to 8500K. It has a CRI rating of 96 and a TLCI rating of 97 - your assurance of accuracy in color rendering. It's dimmable from 0 to 100% and runs on AC power, but has a built-in 2900 mAh li-ion battery for a runtime of one hour at full power on a single charge.The WL8P also has eight special F/X such as Fireworks, Lightning, Candle, Flash, Fire, Broken Bulb, TV, and Strong Light to add authenticity to your shoot.

Last but certainly not least, the WL8P is IP68-rated waterproof. It is not just safe in foul weather, but also submersible to depths of 33'

Add a monitor to your video recording system with this aluminum Heavy-Duty Camera Shoe Mount Adapter with Ball Head from Elvid. This convenient accessory mounts directly to a camera's shoe mount and allows for the attachment of a full array of video accessories. Specifically meant to attach monitors or small lights to your camcorder or camera while shooting video, this ball head has a single locking knob for fast and safe operation, and is easily removable.

Accessories attach via the 1/4"-20 screw thread on top, and the bottom features a removable shoe mount and a 3/8" thread. The shoe mount itself is removable and features its own 3/8"-16 mounting screw, in case you want to use it without the ball head.

Note:
Due to its compact design, this ball head should not be used to support a camera.

Wet weather…no problem!

The Godox WL8P LED Light has very solid build and can do what most other lights can’t do…work in harsh wet weather conditions. I own many LED and COB lights and apart from the Lume Cube 2.0, none would be able to survive heavy rain, dust or sand, ocean waves or sea mist, being submerged in water and drops…many drops. This light is built solid. It is bicolor (2700K - 8500k) and has a very good CRI of 96. Battery life is solid at one hour at full power. It has Bluetooth and can be controlled via an App! Yes, at 10 watts it is not as powerful as higher wattage portable lights but when you set this light close to your subject it does the trick. The light is small (palm size) and lightweight so portability is excellent. As a close up fill light for vacation, golden hour, beach, rainy day and night shoots this light shines. And yes, for snorkeling it is rated for 30 feet underwater!!! I’ve just purchased my third unit from B&H which always has great deals and plan to use them all for an upcoming Caribbean vacation. I will use my Godox WL8P LED lights for on beach portraits during golden hour against natural rock formations and for wildlife macro photography. Worry free of damaging any of my expensive LED, COB or Strobe lights! Thank you B&H for being my go to source for all things photography including all the great learning opportunities at your anwesome Event Space!!! ALWAYS a great and very satisfactory customer experience!!!

Would this work for prolonged underwater photo ...

Would this work for prolonged underwater photo and video sessions that are over 30 minutes? (IP68 is only for 30 minutes)

Since the Godox WL8P Waterproof LED Light is rated as IP68, we cannot guarantee that it would last underwater for much more than 30 minutes, and would not recommend it for extend use underwater.
