Play your favorite games in 1440p at high frame rates, all while on the go, with the ASUS 15.6" Republic of Gamers Strix Scar 15 Gaming Laptop. Powered by a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i9 14-Core (12th Gen) processor and 32GB of 4800 MHz DDR5 RAM, the ROG Strix Scar 15 can provide you with the performance you need. The 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD allows for faster boot times as well as load times in games. The dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card with 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM allows you to take full advantage of DLSS and ray tracing for an immersive gaming experience.

The 15.6" IPS display features a 2560 x 1440 resolution, a 3 ms response time, and a 240 Hz refresh rate with adaptive sync support. This means you'll be able to play without having to worry about ghosting, motion blur, and screen tearing. You can also output to an external display with the HDMI 2.1 port. The quad speakers feature Smart Amplifier technology. This laptop also has Dolby Atmos support.

Want to play online? Get connected with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax). If you want a more reliable connection, you can utilize a wired connection via the 2.5 GbE LAN jack. You can use a wireless mouse by utilizing Bluetooth 5.2. For ports, there's a Thunderbolt 4 port, dual USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and more. No gaming laptop would be complete without customizable RGB lighting. The ROG Strix Scar 15 provides that lighting with the Aura Sync light bar, logo, and keyboard. The touchpad can also turn into the NumberPad when needed. Windows 11 Pro is the installed operating system.

This system houses a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900H processor. It has 8 performance cores and 6 efficiency cores, for a total of 14 cores. The performance cores can be boosted up to 5.0 GHz.
NVIDIA RTX Graphics
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics deliver high frame rates with built-in artificial intelligence while enhancing your gaming experiences using real-time ray tracing to create realistic shadows and reflections. The dedicated graphics card can also accelerate the performance of select content-creating and live-streaming applications.
15.6" IPS Display
The 15.6" display features an IPS panel, which provides wider viewing angles. The screen also has a WQHD 2560 x 1440 resolution and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. The 240 Hz refresh rate allows for reduced motion blur and screen tearing while the 3 ms response time helps prevent ghosting. The display also has adaptive sync support.

Aura Sync RGB Lighting
This laptop features Aura Sync RGB lighting, allowing you to customize your own look. The Aura Sync light bar, logo, and keyboard means you'll be able to enjoy the full RGB look.
Thunderbolt 4
Thunderbolt 4 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector. Doubling the speed of its predecessor, Thunderbolt 3 features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.2 Gen 2 at up to 10 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to connect up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 3 port.

A New Start Position
Windows 11 has been completely redesigned from its predecessor to emphasize productivity, creativity, and ease of use. The customizable Start Menu is now at the center of the taskbar and utilizes the cloud, allowing you to quickly find and access recent files, regardless of what platform or device was previously used to view them. The streamlined Start Menu design also lets you pin apps and recent files in addition to powering down the system.
Making Productivity a Snap
Multitask with speed and efficiency with the ability to snap apps side by side. Snap Layouts and Snap Groups help to keep your windows organized using different layouts that are designed to fully optimize your screen space, no matter its size and resolution. Windows 11 also remembers their positions, so you can resume from where you left off when selecting Snap Groups from the task bar, allowing you to switch between both individual applications and entire projects. Snap Layouts are also automatically restored when docking laptops with external monitors.
Microsoft Teams Integration
Stay connected with friends, family, coworkers, and clients with Microsoft Teams Chat integrated onto the Windows 11 taskbar. With a touch, you can connect to your contacts via text, voice, and video, regardless of whether they're using Windows, Android, or iOS devices. You can also communicate with those who don't have the Teams app installed using two-way SMS messaging.

The Adaptive Input feature automatically optimizes the Windows 11 interface to however you prefer to interact with your device, whether it's using a mouse, keyboard, touch, voice, or handwriting.

I was looking for a gaming laptop with an RTX 3060 or better. For the price, I think it's the best deal I could find and I love it. Games are running with max settings flawlessly. The fans are noisy when they are at full speed but in my opinion it's normal.

Pros - Customizable: up to 64 GB of RAM two slots, it has 2 M2 PCIe gen 4 for storage. I bought it with an RTX 3060 but it is available with superior graphic cards. - Incredible performance on multitasking. I have to run so many process in my job and I don't have any problems regarding performance or speed. - The Intel core 9 12900H comes with 20 threads. Unbelievable, this machine flies haha. - Compatible with RAM DDR5 4800 - It's quite beautiful haha and the RGB ... just catch your eyes Cons - The battery life is just normal, even bad. It lasts about 2 and half hours, but it's okay. It supposed to be connected to take advantage of its processor power. - It seems the touchpad has a response delay. Nothing to worried about, but better to work with a mouse. - It doesn't have an integrated camera - the Asus numberpad in the touchpad is quite beautiful, but kinda useless haha. Conclusion I've been using it mainly for development and multitasking. Sometimes, I've needed to edit and render videos and from time to time I've played COD. Never slow down, it doesn't heat so much. It just perfect for my needs. Highly recommended.

This is amazingly powerful and I love it! BUT! It’s really hot as well. It runs so hot that it died within 2 months now I had to send to Asus RMA for repairs because my local computer repair couldn’t fix it they said come components on main board might be broken from overheated or I got unlucky and got bad parts to begin with. But this thing will run anything you can imagine even run Star Citizen without lags!!!! Nothing in this world this laptop can’t run over 100 fps!!!
