Engineering flaw - prone to breaking

Purchased two for cameras in production environment. This design was about the only one that places the battery where we need it. Unfortunately a volunteer overtightened one the first week and it broke in half. The design has a significant week spot in the tensioner. I don't believe there was excessive force applied, it is just weak.

This worked great until the plastic inside where the threads are tensioned snapped. This happened under normal torque for securing the Core branded micro V-Mount battery.

Are the D-Tap ports the correct voltage to properly power a mirrorless camera?

Yes. The following v-mount adapter will provide 11 to 17 VDC via D-Tap. Will provide power to most mirrorless units on the market.
