The Mackie 406M is a mono powered mixer with 6 balanced 1/4" TRS Phone line inputs and 6 balanced XLR mic inputs. The dual internal FR amplifiers features an output rating of 500W (250W per amplifier). Internal amplifier routing switch allows monitors and main speakers to draw power from the internal amplifier or use an external amplifier for powering monitors. Dual 9 band graphic EQ's allow final countoring of frequencies on the main output stage. The internal EMAC 32-bit effects processor provides high quality multi effects algorithms. Some of the effects provided include reverb, delay, chorus, flanger and phaser. 3 band EQ's are provided on every channel. Each mic preamp is capable of +15 Volts DC Phantom power for condenser microphones. Multiple 406M's can be cascaded for adding channels when necessary.

Twin 250-watt FR Series High-Current power amps supply 500 watts of power @ 2 ohms. The FR series amplifiers are the same found in their famed amplifier line. FR (Fast Recovery) technology prevents the distortion that may occur when clipping.
