Excellent price to performance
Got this processor to replace a 4350G that powered my HTPC. As the kids started playing games and we purchased a 4070, the old CPU became too much of a bottleneck. The 5600 was more than 50% faster for a little over $100, and is still within the 65W thermal envelope that allowed me to use a low-profile Noctua L9a air cooler. Went from 45 to 60 FPS in Hogwarts Legacy, and notably faster windows program loading. Can't be beat for the price!

Awesome budget performance
I upgraded from a 1700x. Just needed to install a bios update and it worked with my b350 motherboard from 2017. I'm seeing a substantial boost in performance across all games. For under $200 this is a great deal to keep my framerates high for a few more years. If you have a If you have a Zen or Zen+ CPU and compatible motherboard I highly recommend the upgrade.

It works, seems fast. All the cores are there. I'm not using the stock cooler so I can't comment on that. Not much more to say, really. Great value CPU!
Great update for an older PC
This was an amazing update for an older ASRock motherboard-based PC. Tripled the speed! Note that a BIOS update was required to support the new CPU, so I had to swap back to the old processor to complete the updates before reinstalling the new one.

Best bang for the he buck, seriously, if you are gaming why do you need more than 6/12? Modern games are more GPU intensive than CPU, unless you are playing Arma. AM4 is still strong and DDR4 is still just fine, this bad boy even supports PCIE 4!!! Take that intel
