I went back and forth between this and the Wimberly model it seems to mimic. Wimberly has the great name and is well reviewed on YouTube. I wondered if this would be some low-end, second tier product I could not trust... not smooth in movement, not confident in feel. It is perfectly smooth, seems incredibly crafted. And frankly, I should have known. I own a mini tripod and a monopod from Leofoto and both of those are top notch too. I also wondered, whether having the cam sit off center would feel unnatural and be hard getting used to. Nope. Minutes in and everything feel natural.

Good. But buy the quick release, locking version.

It is excellent. But spend a few bucks more and buy the Leofoto MPG-01L with the locking quick release. It is perfect! (but don't buy the quick-release without the lock - you might catch the latch on clothing or brush and accidentally send that expensive lens crashing to the floor)
