It is excellent. But spend a few bucks more and buy the Leofoto MPG-01L with the locking quick release. It is perfect! (but don't buy the quick-release without the lock - you might catch the latch on clothing or brush and accidentally send that expensive lens crashing to the floor)

Haven't used my monopod much since I bought it, too many restrictions for wild life photography, especially birds. But this side mount mono gimbal is fantastic! Lighter and smaller than a traditional gimbal it has improved my quite a bit. Materials and build quality are excellent equal in every way to the Wimberly mono gimbal but almost half the price.
