OWC OWCTBLTMP7AS0 Overview

Back up your company's most essential data with the OWC Mercury Pro LTO-7 Tape Storage Drive with 2TB Onboard Storage & ArGest Backup. Designed to fit conveniently within your workstation setup, this tape drive makes long-term storage quick and easy, ideal for businesses of all sizes.

Equipped with a single LTO-7 drive bay, you can archive information on a single LTO-7 or 6 tape, ensuring your data remains in one piece for on- and off-site preservation. You get data transfer speeds up to 300 and 7500 MB/s with native and compressed files, respectively. An internal 2TB SSD enables you to save data directly to this unit, giving you additional storage for your projects. Dual Thunderbolt 3 ports allow you to connect multiple devices to the Mercury Pro to move data quickly, connect a compatible display, or daisy-chain multiple Mercury Pro units together for a truly massive storage solution. The Mercury Pro is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.

OWC ArGest Backup
Included with the Mercury Pro is the ArGest Backup software management suite that offers a simple way to ensure your most important information is safe. Drag-and-drop interface enables you to archive information on macOS, Windows, and Linux platforms. You can back up to portable USB or Thunderbolt drives, removable disk storage such as RDX and Lyve Mobile, local cloud storage, and tape media. ArGest also restores the maximum possible amount of data, even if the tape is damaged. You also have Doubler Archival Mode, automatic tape cataloging, ANYTIME Verify, built-in diagnosis, and more.
Thunderbolt 3 Interface
Dual Thunderbolt 3 ports enables you to quickly transfer data, charge your notebooks, and use daisy-chaining capabilities to link multiple compatible devices together, saving you space and setup time. One of the Thunderbolt 3 ports provides you with 85W Power Delivery, charging your notebook while you are managing your data. You can also connect compatible displays, achieving native 5K resolution at 60 Hz refresh rate.
DisplayPort 1.4
A single DisplayPort 1.4 video output enables you to connect a display to the Mercury Pro, turning it into an essential part of your desktop setup. This port supports resolutions up 8K at a 60 Hz refresh rate or 4K resolution at 120 Hz for a clean and smooth picture.
LTO-7 Cartridge Included
Store your information right out of the box with the included LTO-7 6TB cartridge. You can store up to 6TB of information in native format or up to 15TB when compressed to properly archive a large volume of information easily. The Mercury Pro also supports LTO-6 tapes, as well as LTO-5 tapes in read-only mode.
Cooling Fan
The aluminum housing includes a single fan designed to reduce thermal build-up, keeping your internal components cool, which is essential when migrating large files.
