I've been using this specific model UPS for years. It is inexpensive protection for expensive equipment. I am happy with these UPS's. The power here is terrible. We get chronic power spikes, surges, and dropouts on a daily basis. These UPS systems provide constant power on the battery backup outlets for devices that cannot withstand these power line conditions and must go through a proper shut down procedure when power has been lost. For those devices that can withstand the power loss but not the spikes and surges I use the surge outlets. My only complaint is that they don't last forever and when they do finally die (after many years) the internal replacement battery has been difficult to purchase.
