Housing a 640x512 resolution thermal sensor in a high-grade aluminum and magnesium alloy body, the Explorator PRO TB50-640 Thermal Imaging Bi-Ocular is AGM's flagship thermal imaging device. Built for use in severe weather conditions and challenging environments, the Explorator PRO comes equipped with a 12-micron microbolometer, allowing users to see heat sources comfortably through dual ocular lenses in a selection of color palettes on a vivid 1024 x 768 display.
An f/1.0, 50mm objective lens gathers ample thermal radiation for crisp, clear imagery, while the built-in stadiametric rangefinder shows the approximate distance, in meters or yards, to an object of known size. Digital magnification levels are 1x, 2x, 4x, and 8x and a 2x Picture-in-Picture option is also available. The unit is lightweight at under 2 lb, rated IP-67 water resistant, and can withstand drops of up to 4.9'. Power is supplied by two CR123A batteries with a runtime of five hours—longer when using a separately sold external power supply.
