Pyle Pro PTA1000BT Reviews
A bargain, but...
Over all, I am pleased with the product, given its features and price. But there are a couple of issues of which to be aware if considering this unit. My application is rather light duty. It is a utility amp in my music “playroom”. I use it for A/V playback and live instruments for rehearsing and jamming. But it is not used for any professional, commercial or touring use. The FM receiver and Bluetooth capability were attractive bonus features. I was leary of the low price, but took a chance and bought it. So far, I am pleased with the features and performance of the amp. My space is small and my speakers are efficient. I will probably never drive the amp to its limits. It’s clean, quiet and runs cool. The amp has a nice professional appearance and seems to be well made, it is not a standard 2U rack chassis! It is slightly wider than 19”. It barely fit into my Middle Atlantic studio rack. It is also slightly taller than 3.5” and will infringe on the adjacent spaces above and below. While there are six holes, three per side in the mounting ears, only two of the three will align with the holes in an EIA standard mounting rail. Although, four screws seem to hold it securely. The handles on the chassis would probably be very useful for stand-alone, desktop use, but have to be removed for mounting as they interfere with the heads of the rack mounting screws.
