Ordered for Video Editing

I took a chance and ordered this desk, originally designed for music production, because it's nearly impossible to find a comparable desk for professional video editors. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 ONLY because I've had to make some adaptations to use it seamlessly in my work environment - namely, I had to purchase risers to make sure the desk height was 3-4 taller in order to be ergonomic for video editing use. That's not a big deal, but it results in a slightly less stable setup (if someone really banged into the desk it could be knocked off the risers). The main positive points to consider: 1) The build is very sturdy, it's a great design, and easy to assemble if you follow the directions closely. 2) Upper shelf is great for dual monitor video editing and the removable rotating speaker stands are a nice bonus though not strictly necessary. 3) I use the large sliding keyboard shelf (designed for a musical keyboard or midi unit) as my mouse and keyboard area for editing. It's large enough to house any special controller keyboards for Davinci, etc. 4) I did not install the rack mounting hardware because I don't currently have any rack units, but can easily add that later if I decide to incorporate any. Bottom line: It's a sturdy, attractive work station, and I hope to use it for years to come. It's worth the price if you want a professional desk for serious projects and are willing to invest a little bit into your creative flow.
