Huion Kamvas Pro 24 Overview

The fully laminated drawing surface is also designed to reduce parallax, which works with the anti-glare etched glass to create a drawing experience that closely feels like pen on paper.

The included digital pen provides exceptional drawing accuracy with 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity and a 120° tilt for easy shading. You can connect the Kamvas 24 Plus Pen Display to a Windows, macOS, or Android device using the included 3-in-1 HDMI cable or using the USB Type-C port with DisplayPort in alt mode compatible systems. Use the adjustable stand to tilt the display between 20° and 80° for comfortable viewing.

Best bang for your buck in a Pen Display

You may be trying to decide between the Waccom Pro 24 and the Huion pro 24 4K. Here's what you should consider if you are thinking about the Huion 24 plus: - The 2560 x 1440 resolution offers better detail without having to scale up your UI in Photoshop with the 4K models. I have a three monitor setup and use the same resolution across all three displays. - There are no user buttons on Huion so you will need to purchase a separate controller if this is part of your work flow. - The color gamut and contrast ratio is not as good as the Cintiq (16.7 Million versus 1.07 Billion). For color correction I use another monitor. If color accuracy is important in your work, the Cintiq or Huion Pro 24 4K will give offer better contrast and color reproduction. - Latency and pressure sensitivity are good on the 24 Plus. You can control the falloff curve of the pressure sensitivity with Huon software. The laminated surface is high quality and has a smooth feel. The Huion pen is slightly lighter than the Cintiq and has no eraser. - The included stand is quite good and offers three angle setups. To sum up, the 24 plus display is a great value, only really lacking in color reproduction. It's usable, but with the money you would save getting the 24 plus versus the Cintiq or Huion 4K you could get a BenQ PD2705U or other 10 bit monitor for color. Having a three monitor setup is really helping my workflow.

Fantastic Large Screen Tablet for Digital Art

This is my first large screen tablet. I also have an iPad Pro and have been using Wacom Intuos tablets for the last 10 years. This tablet is awesome and everything I've wanted (I was considering a Wacom Cintiq or another Huion Kamvas tablet for a few months and looked at every review I could find before settling on this particular model). I use it with an M1 MacBook Pro via the USB-C to USB-C cable which is extremely convenient, since my laptop doesn't have many ports and no USB-A port. Since the tablet is so large it also needs to be plugged into a wall outlet via the provided power brick to work. Pros: - Large! I can see so much of my software interface + the drawing itself. I even use this instead of my external monitor now. - Great pressure sensitivity and tilt recognition. The pen seems cheaper made than Wacom but I got used to it extremely quickly and the drawing experience is just as good as Wacom or my Apple Pencil. - Display quality. This isn't Huion's best display (that's their 4K) but this display is 2.5k HD and honestly I couldn't want anything more. Everything is sharp and crisp and looks GREAT. Cons: - The size is a blessing and a curse. It's such a large tablet that it takes up a large chunk of my desk even when I put the stand to its flattest setting. Also really heavy and not even remotely portable. - Short cord. The included USB-C to USB-C wire is very short. It works with my current desk set up but I will be buying Huion's 2m version of the cord soon. - No shortcut keys. Kamvas Pros usually have some keys built in on the tablet, but this line up doesn't have any. I bought the Huion Mini Key Dial as well which solved all of those issues. Overall, definitely recommend! I don't see the point in buying a Wacom over this Huion as the quality is just as good. Perhaps you may only want to consider Wacom if you want a 4k tablet or an even larger one (since I don't think Huion goes above 24 inches).
