The SD300S Daylight LED Monolight from GVM provides high-quality, soft lighting, and a CRI rating of 97 for accurate color rendering. This monolight is a sturdy aluminum-constructed fixture that offers a solid 5600K color temperature. It provides 11,640 lux at 3.3' from the bare bulb and up to 91,500 lux with the included reflector. Special modes include Master, Rotate, CCT, and more, and it has eight scene effects available, including lightning, flash, candlelight, TV, bad bulb, explosion, fireworks, and paparazzi. This LED light enables brightness control from 0 to 100% and is equipped with a multifunctional LCD screen.

A support app lets you control the light's functions and make adjustments from a smartphone via Bluetooth. It is powered by the included AC adapter or separately available V-mount batteries using a separately available V-mount battery plate adapter, and it is suitable for live broadcast and indoor or outdoor shooting. Equipped with a Bowens mount, it can be used with diffusers, softboxes, honeycomb covers, and more. Included with the light is a diffuser, a carry bag, and a power supply.

GVM SD300S Overview

The SD300S Daylight LED Monolight from GVM provides high-quality, soft lighting, and a CRI rating of 97 for accurate color rendering. This monolight is a sturdy aluminum-constructed fixture that offers a solid 5600K color temperature. It provides 11,640 lux at 3.3' from the bare bulb and up to 91,500 lux with the included reflector. DMX and Smart App Control
The light enables DMX-512 control mode with 8-bit precision. It can be controlled remotely via the GVM Control app directly from your smartphone. One or more devices can be controlled simultaneously.
Active Cooling System
The SD series is designed with multiple heat sinks and heat-conducting copper tubes, which can greatly increase the air contact area and maximize the heat conduction to deliver heat dissipation efficiency.

we ordered 6 of these lights for different sets over the past 2 years for our video/photo studio for making YouTube videos and it works great. The light is nice and soft and it generates very little noise. The app is wonderful to use as well. One of the lights just died the other day and Zoe from there customer service has been great to talk to and is sending out a new unit for us. We use these 5days a week, weekly they really do hold up.

Decent, but not 5600k

Although I find the light to be very decent for the price, they are definitely not 5600k. They sit more around 4000k...My white balance actually registers around 4150k. Not the end of the world if you're just using this light and other GVM lights (because they all seem to sit around 4000k), but beware that you'll have extra work to match either true daylight or tungsten if mixing light sources. Beyond that, they get the job done.

Can the temperature of this light be adjusted? Specs indicate a fixed 5600K, but photos of the app indicate the temp can be adjusted. Which is it?

How does this compare to nanlite fs300 as far as photo metrics and fan noise?

The GVM offers more output coming in at 91,500 Lux at 3.3' w/ Reflector where as the Nanalite offers 41,040 Lux at 3.3' w/ Reflector. Both units are close to the same when it comes to fan noise.
