it's an ink cartridge and it works exactly as expected. Oooh Magenta.... At least Brother resumed shipping the new cartridge with the pre paid return slip to send the old one back for recycling. Their online process to get the return label was a pain, you have to enter the product serial number which is 10000 digits and written in the smaller font possible LOL. Great ink for a great printer.
Had many of the same problems with smudging, weak color, cartridges running out of toner way too early whether Brother or other brands so might be the machine and software. Now the thumbs up or downs just hang and never record.
