Canon MF3010 Reviews
Prints Great
Bought Canon laser printer to replace a Brother multifunction inkjet printer that always needed head cleanings due to missing lines. We have only used the printer function thus far and that work great. The only mistake on my part was not reading more closely - I failed to realize this printer has no WiFi connectivity? It's 2026, what printer doesn't have a WiFi? Bought a IOGEAR GPSU21 Single-Port USB 2.0 Print Server (B&H sells them) and connected the printer's USB to that, then ethernet (from the Iomega printer server) to our Cable modem's router. The Iomega needed to be set a static IP address (easy to do via its web GUI). Then the printer was added to each Mac's via IP address. That aspect of the set-up felt a bit 1995, but all works. I should have read more closely. If planning to connect to the printer via WiFi, I'd recommend buying one with WiFi already baked in. That's going to be the easiest set-up. I'm still amazed that a new printer in 2026 with "multi-function printer" in its name doesn't have WiFi or a built-in ethernet jack. That's my reason for 4-stars instead of 5 stars.
