What other lenses may work with the focal reducer (PL to RF)?
Asked by: Philipp
The Venus Optics Laowa 0.7x Focal Reducer for Probe Lens (PL to R Mount) (B&H# VE07FRPL2R) is a highly specialized focal reducer designed to fit and work well only with the Venus Optics Laowa 24mm f/14 Probe Lens for ARRI PL (Cine-Mod Version) (B&H# VE2414PL). While it's possible that you may get it to work to your satisfaction with other lenses, we cannot endorse their use as damage to the optical element in the focal reducer could result. The major concern has to do with an invasive rear element in the PL lens coming in contact with the element in the focal reducer. Moreover, even if one could be sure of the fit, the result may suffer from more softening or chromatic aberration than some customers would consider acceptable. As is often the case, however, you are welcome to try the focal reducer and to return it within 30 days with an RMA authorization and accompanied by all of the original packaging. It would also need to be in the same condition in which it was received. Returns policy details: https://bhpho.to/3utL5n1
