BirdDog OpenGear Overview

The BirdDog openGear 4-Channel NDI Encoder/Decoder features four independently configurable 12G-SDI inputs and outputs. Full Dashboard support is included along with SPF+ port for 10GbE connectivity.

Note:
Requires an oGx frame, the 4th generation of the openGear platform.

Open-architecture and modular 2 RU rack frame system allows for cross-manufacturer compatibility. Requires an oGx frame, the 4th generation of the openGear platform.
Professional Cooling & Power
Includes integrated cooling fans for maximum cooling and can be configured with dual, redundant power supplies for maximum reliability.
Dashboard
Offers full support for Dashboard, the freely available unified control software for MacOS, Windows, and Linux.
SFP+ for 10GbE and Long Range
Industry standard SFP+ connection allows for short, medium, and long-range connections over fiber and supports Ethernet protocols from 1GbE to 10GbE.
Encode and Decode up to 4K at 60p
The device supports up to four channels of 4k at 60p encoded video and 2 channels of 4K at 60p decoded videos.
Independent Channel Control
Each channel has independent control of frame rates and resolutions. Firmware supports all encode or all decode modes.

Using with the 4kQuad-4Channel and this works reliably in a 24/7 environment. 1080i59.94 and 1080p30 sources. I'm using with the internal SFP port and not the built in network. It's a little bit funky to get it to swap between the two, but once it's set, it says there.
