The LTO-9 Half-Height SAS SFF-8644 Desktop Tape Drive from MagStor is an LTO-9 tape drive with a desktop form factor and a 12 Gb/s SAS SFF-8644 interface. LTFS (Linear Tape File System) makes archiving to tape easier, as users can drag and drop files to and from an LTO tape with the peace of mind that LTFS is open source and you can access your files in the future using almost any software. Traditional backups to tape are still commonplace with TAR software and MagStor LTO drives are compatible most TAR backup systems that work with IBM-based tape drives.
