Designed to switch between an HDMI 2.0 and a USB Type-C input to one HDMI output, the 21E-SOFTCODEC 2x1 Presentation Switcher with CEC from Alfatron supports video resolutions up to 4K x 2K60 in a 4:4:4 color space. The CEC feature enables the device to be controlled by the front-panel buttons or RS-232 CEC commands.
The unit also has two USB type-A data ports for devices such as cameras, microphones, or keyboards, and a USB type-B port for host connectivity. The 21E automatically switches to the first detected source device when set to Auto and to the lowest numbered input when the active source is removed. Stereo and multichannel audio are supported on the HDMI input, which gets embedded in the HDMI output stream while being simultaneously de-embedded to a balanced analog audio output.
