Better than damage to blades or people

I have occasionally run my drone into something. I did break 1 prop guard but have yet to damage a blade. I like the fact that people are protected from lacerations in the event of poor pilotage or a runaway drone

Helps while I'm learning the new Min 3 Pro. Saving some props but it also helps me see the see the drone at a further distance.

What affect do these guards have on the drone's obstacle avoidance? Does it still function in all directions with them on?
