Tears easily, pulls up easily without residue. Just pull it steadily so it shouldn't wrap around the wire and stick to itself. If it does, tear off parts from the side, so you can get it off. And if you don't? Your wires will look like any professional's - well used! Get 4" so it sticks to floor well on both sides of wire. Basically, if you're experienced, you get 4"! If you'll get 2", you'll use twice the amount, so no savings. (You can tell how much experience someone has on the job, from the width of his tape!:)
