HighPoint SSD6204A Overview

Streamline your production and expand upon your current storage capabilities with the robust HighPoint SSD6204A NVMe RAID Controller. This configurable internal card enables you to create a bootable platform, optimizing performance suitable for a wide range of environments from software development to audio engineering, and more.

The PCIe 3.0 x8 bus interface plugs into a wide range of motherboards and supports up to four M.2 PCIe NVMe solid-state drives. You get data transfer speeds up to 8 GT/s with support for RAID 0, 1, and JBOD configurations, making this ideal for production studios and video editing bays. LED indicators notify you of the status of your connected drives, alerting you of critical and suboptimal status, and simplifying troubleshooting processes in the event of a failure.

M.2 Size Support
The SSD6204A supports a variety of single- and double-sided 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110 SSDs.
Out-of-Band Management
An Out-of-Band (OOB) USB Type-C management port enables quick field maintenance, allowing the RAID storage to be administered in a pre-OS environment as well as secure data center and hosting applications without interacting with user data.
Integrated RAID Switch
The controller features two hardware switches which can be used to configure one of three array modes including mirroring, striping, and JBOD configurations.
Fanless Heatsink
Designed to keep your system cool under stress is an enlarged heatsink that passively dissipates heat and prevents potential damage caused by thermal buildup.
Operating System Support
HighPoint's SSD6204A controller enables professional solution providers to seamlessly configure bootable, redundant RAID storage for a wide range of applications. Native In-Box Driver support is available all major Virtualization platforms, such as VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Promox, and all current versions and distributions of Windows, Linux, and FreeBSD operating systems. You are free to update the Kernel, apply patches, or download and install scheduled updates as needed, without fear of data loss or the need for complicated procedures.
