The Sony E 11mm f/1.8 Lens will fit onto the A7IV. But it will by crop the image by 1.5 times and you will loose a lot of resolution. Or if not set for crop you will get a lot of vignette on the image.

As the 11mm 1.8 lens has an E mount, is it compatible with the Sony A1? If so will the focal length be 11mm or 16mm?
The Sony E 11mm f/1.8 Lens is designed for cameras with a APS-C sensor. The lens should not be used on full frame cameras like the Sony A1.
If you do use the lens on the A1 the camera goes into cropped sensor mode. You lose image quality and will get a small file. The angle of view of the lens will be the same as a 16mm lens when using a lens designed for full frame cameras.

Does this make lens's focus motor make noise? wanted to know short-gun on camera mic pic up the noise while hunting focus?
Sony E 11mm f/1.8 Lens has linear focus motors which provide silence acurate focus. There are no vibration or noise when the lens focus.
