Key Features
  • Load Capacity: 17.6 lb
  • Maximum Height: 55.5"
  • Minimum Height: 17.7"
  • Reverse-Folded Length: 15.7"
The D225C2 Carbon Fiber Tripod with Arca-Type Ball Head from K&F Concept is a lightweight and versatile tripod for both studio and travel. It has a load capacity of up to 17.6 pounds, so it is suitable for use with compact, mirrorless, and DSLR cameras with large lenses. It has a maximum height of 55.5", but thanks to its reverse-folding leg design, it collapses to a mere 15.7" length, making it easy to store or carry almost anywhere. The legs offer independent spread and three locking angles and can also be reversed for inverted shooting for a low to the ground perspective. In addition, one leg can be unscrewed to convert into a 59.1"-tall monopod for situations where a full tripod may be too bulky or slow, like when shooting wildlife or sports. The monopod leg features a padded collar for improved grip. The center column has a rapid locking collar for quick adjustment and features a spring-loaded ballast hook for added stability.

This tripod handles my 150-600 lens just fine with little to no flex when tightening down the ball head, unlike my other smaller tripods. It is light enough to carry for travel and will fit the bill. I also like the panning motion built into the head. The only thing I dislike about the tripod are the threaded leg collars that secure the legs in position. I would much rather have the lever activated type because they are quicker. Not a deal breaker for me though - this is a good tripod. As an aside, I think the orange accents are cool!!

Does this tripod support a Nikon D7200 with a 200-500mm lens?
Asked by: David
The K&F Concept D225C2 Carbon Fiber Tripod with Arca-Type Ball Head and Monopod is technically rated to support 17 pounds. While the D7200 plus the 200-500mm lens is under 17 pounds, I would recommend a stronger tripod due to the long focal length. Something in the 30 pounds plus ranges such as this: https://bhpho.to/4chmmGI

The K&F Concept D225C2 Carbon Fiber Tripod with Arca-Type Ball Head and Monopod will hold a Nikon D850 with a 70-200 lens, but if you want it to be the most rock solid without any movement at all I recommend purchasing a stronger and heavier tripod.
