NETGEAR XSM4316S-100NES Overview

Enjoy high speed, reliability, and flexibility by expanding your business's network capacity with the M4300-8X8F 16-Port RJ45/SFP+ 10G Managed Network Switch from Netgear. Pre-configured for AV-over-IP, this fully managed switch includes Layer 2, 3, and 4 feature sets, such as hot-swappable mixed stacking, with up to eight switches in a single logical switch. However, there are no license requirements to support video broadcast and other high-bandwidth applications.

The M4300-8X8F features sixteen 10G ports, comprised of eight RJ45 copper wire connectors and eight SFP+ fiber optic transceiver slots. This switch is designed to smoothly transfer data with a 320 Gb/s switching capacity and 238 Mpps forwarding rate. Your data is secured by features such as access control, private VLANs, and denial of service (DoS) attack protection. The half-width design allows you to install two switches into the same rackmount space for redundancy. A modular 250W power supply is included.

Quality Switch with good Features

I have primarily used HPE/Aruba switches for the last 20 years but they are becoming more and more expensive and more difficult to recommend to small clients. I tested out a Netgear M4300 3 years ago and it had all of the features I needed for a much better price. This is actually the 4th Netgear M4300 model I have purchased and its a great device. It has a large feature set similar to the HPE/Aruba switches I have used before. The web and command-line interface are both fairly intuitive. The manuals are very detailed.
