Speaker Wire

I have worked on computers since the MS-Dos and the first Macintosh. I have watched wires and connections improve to where modern systems stream massive mounts of data using small, simple to use connections. I was dumbfounded to find that I needed to strip plastic off of wires and twist them around connections to hook up speakers. Are we still in the audio 20th century?

Not the best experience

It is usable speaker wire and works as such. Two problems. First- it was more like 50 feet. By the time I guessed that I already had wired my speakers to my amplifier and wasn't going to unwire them to bring it back. Second, my experience in going to B&H to get speaker wire was quite dismal. I asked where I could find some since there was none on display, and was sent from department to department and finally got a manager to order some from where ever it was stored. It took close to an hour. There was a time when customer service there was not so shoddy. I was trying to avoid Amazon.
