Godox R200 Reviews
Great for portrait but quality of included bag is bad
The light quality produced by this flash head is exceptional, particularly for portraits. Many people have remarked on how much better they look in photos taken with it. At night, the flash creates a broad, flattering light with soft, pleasing shadows. During the day, it is powerful enough to overpower sunlight, delivering images with a professional, high-fashion aesthetic. However, I have two significant concerns. First, the bracket that connects the flash head to the camera is poorly designed. If your camera has a large grip, the bracket leaves very little room for your hand, which makes handling awkward. Additionally, the screws lack stability, requiring the head to be repositioned periodically. Otherwise, you can see from your images that the shadow is off-center. Second, the carrying bag for the AD200 flash unit is of subpar quality. The velcro closures lose their grip after just a few months of regular use. The material used on the shoulder strap is rough and rubs against my neck if I do not wear a shirt with collars. This seems to be the theme with Godox accessories. The bag they sell that allows you to carry this flash head and the unit is also flimsy. In conclusion, this flash head is a wonderful kit for a portable flash setup that is far superior to any on-camera flash. However, everything except for the flash unit and head is terrible, which is a shame.
Ring Flash close ups
Great flash and is easy to use. Had an issue that required a firmware update on the AD200 battery. This was easy to do and completely resolved any problems.
