- With a vintage inspired design and a distinct black finish, the unit has a simple dial that correlates ISO with apertures, power levels, and shooting distances. For example, if you want to shoot at 5' with an ISO of 400, the dial lines up f/4 and 1/8 power.
- The flash has an Auto Mode, too, that defaults to f/2.8 at ISO 100.
- Control features include an Optical Mode that offers S1 and S2 settings. In S1 the flash will fire in response to another manual or TTL flash, while in S2 the Retro Flash will respond similarly, but ignore the initial flash.
- The unit runs on separately purchased AAA batteries and comes with a triggering cable and a storage bag.
- Power, ISO, Stops, Distance Dial
- Guide Number: 39.4' ISO 100
- 7 x Output Levels: 1/1 to 1/64
- Runs on 2 x AAA Batteries

Godox Lux Junior Reviews
Great Compact Fill Flash
I miss the built-in flashes on my Nikon that I used for impromptu fill flash. The new Nikons do not have a built-in flash and I needed something light and small to take on hikes and for those unforeseen moments. This fits the bill - light and easy to use. It would have been nice to find something that supports Nikon TTL flash but perhaps someday.
I love this tiny, lightweight flash, except....
I love everything about this teeny tiny little flash, EXCEPT...it sits too low on my Fuji X-T5 to be able to shoot over the Fuji 10-25mm lens and causes dome-like shadows to appear in the bottom middle of the image. So I'll use it only on small lenses, like my Fuji 43mm pancake lens where it works great. I now also bought the GoDox lux Senior and it works just fine as it's tall enough to be able to shoot OVER the 10-24mm lens.
A must to have!
Retro style is a plus, but it has generous output, ease to use, can use manually as well. Has ability to use with synchro cord and hotshoe allows use with older cameras as well.
Great flash for film & digital with a vintage vibe
I love this little flash. It works great on my X100V and X-T5, but it's kind of made for manual film cameras so it's a perfect companion for my Pentax Spotmatic F. I wish all modern speedlights had the simple distance scale this thing comes with. Forget Auto mode, you'll want to use this in Manual, and either way it pretty much requires you use full manual exposure on your camera. I'd gotten a bit lazy with aperture priority and auto ISO, and this thing has made me more purposeful about my exposure settings. The flash coverage itself is beautiful, hearkening back to vintage strobes, with virtually no hot spot in the middle thanks to its wide diffuser screen. Just know that it only covers up to 4m distance. IMPORTANT NOTE FOR DIGITAL CAMERAS WITH BUILT-IN FLASH: The camera doesn't recognize there's a flash in the hotshoe so you'll have to find a way to enable flash without triggering the built-in one. The X100V lets you do that by setting Flash Mode to M and Built-in Flash to OFF. Make sure your camera offers this option before buying this flash.
very good but very low
It works perfect on my olympus and sony camera, but with medium size lenses or a little big it makes a lot of shadow because the flash is low
Fun Little Flash
Bought for a travel flash to try out and it works pretty well. No TTL but this is meant to be more manual or retro as they say. Overall, pleased with the color for the price. Compact and fun to keep in your kit if you need a small yet powerful flash.
Very very compact
Nothing wrong with the flash at all. It does the work and it can fit in your pocket if for some reason you want to put it there. Just dont be like me, this flash is very small and compact so you can only use it with small lenses, otherwise it will cast a huge shadow even with a 24 to 70mm zoom lens. If you use prime lenses make sure to take out the hood too unless the lens is very small.
Not as cool as it looked
I thought I was buying the one pictured here, but it doesn't look half as good as that. Performance for the little flash that it is is great. Buy the black one.
