The updated multicam black, 20L Axis V2 Backpack from Tenba is built for the working professional, content creator, photographer, or filmmaker. The pack holds two mirrorless or DSLR cameras, seven 2.8mm lenses, a 14" laptop and a compact drone. This backpack is the first to include a hidden neoprene pocket that holds an Apple AirTag or Tile Bluetooth Tracker. The MOLLE webbing all around the exterior of the pack allows you to add additional Tenba accessories, including lens capsules, battery pouches, and card wallets. Tenba's exclusive Airflow harness and auto-adjusting Pivot-Fit straps mean the pack will fit, no matter what shape or size you are. The bag has unique dual sternum straps to ensure superior load-balancing across the chest, and allowing female users to position the straps above or below the bust for superior comfort. One of the sternum straps can be removed, if desired. A reversible rain cover is included, one side is black and the other silver to reflect UV rays.

The 16l size can be opened in front of the user like a table and never needs to be removed. Can the 20l be used the same way?
Tenba Axis V2 Backpack (MultiCam Black, 20L) allows you to attach the waist strap, remove the shoulder strap and turn the backpack to your front. Then open the backpack to retrieve the camera while the backpack is attached to your waist.

How is the zipper area, can someone open the bag and grab the laptop, or the side, how easy is it for a thief to get your gear?
The Tenba Axis V2 Backpack (MultiCam Black, 20L) has two zippers on the front laptop pocket. This allows you to tie the zippers together with a locking component or to slip the zippers into each other making the pocket more difficult to open.

The Tenba Axis V2 Backpack (MultiCam Black, 20L) can hold the Nikon Z9 Camera (laid flat), the Nikon Z6 Camera, the Nikon NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S Lens, the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/4E PF ED VR Lens, the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S Lens, and the Nikon NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8 S Lens. This backpack is not deep enough to hold the Z9 upright with a lens attached. Can a Nikon Z8 with an RRS Modular L-Plate fit through the side access door with a 24-120mm lens attached?
You will be able to fit the Z8 with the RRS L-Plate, but it will be a bit of a tight fit. I would recommend one size larger. The Tenba Axis V2 Backpack (MultiCam Black, 24L) would be a better fit.

Whats the Axis V2 Exterior made out of ? is the MultiCam Black and Black same material ? or is it a different grade (thickness)
According to Tenba, the Tenba Axis V2 Backpack (Black, 20L) is made of a 420D nylon with a proprietary 5PM top coating and 2x PU back coating that is super water repellant. The MultiCam version is made of a 600D polyester with DWR on top and 2x PU on the back. The MultiCam material is still water repellent but not as repellent as the original black material.

Does the Axis V2 Backpack 20L fit under airplane seat?
I have flown with this bag on Allegiant air several times. It does fit under the seat. But when crammed full of stuff+water bottle it definitely soaks up the available space. The water bottle also tends to slip out. I've never really found planes comfortable but plan B is always to throw the bag into the overhead compartment if available.

The Tenba Axis V2 Backpack is designed to fit a 14'' laptop. Since laptop sizes vary, it is recommended to compare your laptop to the size of the laptop sleeve, which is 9" x 14.5" x .75" (W x H x D). Regardless, most 15" laptops would not comfortably in the laptop sleeve. I would recommend getting the 24L version of this bag to assure a proper fit. https://bit.ly/3u5ODi8
