This Laowa Nanomorph 50mm T2.4 1.5x S35 Anamorphic Lens from Venus Optics is a slender, compact anamorphic lens that captures high-definition video with 1.5x anamorphic squeeze on cameras with S35 sensors. It features a focal length of 50mm, a PL lens mount with an included EF-mount bayonet option, an aperture range of T2.4 to T22 for a deep depth of field, and 13 iris blades for a shallow depth of field and soft bokeh.
The prime lens has a very short minimum focus distance of 27.5" and offers anamorphic qualities such as high contrast, blue color lens flares, and a 42° horizontal field of view. Other features include measurement markings in feet and meters, 0.8 MOD cine gears on focus and aperture rings, and a 77mm front filter thread. The lens comes default with an ARRI PL lens mount, and a Canon EF bayonet mount is included for compatibility with a wide range of cameras.
