The Dotworkz D2-BASE-EXT consists of the standard D2 Base housing and an extended-size 7" external lens, which adds over 1/2" of lookup range for broadcasting and streaming applications. The 7" lens is provided in place of the standard clear lens that normally comes with the D2 Base. The D2 Base protects an analog or IP PTZ camera in an indoor or outdoor environment from weather and vandalism.
We're using this enclosure indoors in a versatile space where we live stream events and youth often play games. A great solution. While we're only using the base model, I'm impressed with the variations you can get with the enclosure for working outdoors with varying temperatures. Using it with 2 PTZ Optics 20X Move SE Cameras. This enclosure is recommeded by PTZ Optics.
We have it mounted at centre ice in our arena. It is exactly what we needed to protect from dust, moisture and flying pucks.
