The MIR 3D RoomPack 3 Mystic Spaces by Vienna Symphonic Library is a multi-impulse convolution reverb pack for the Vienna MIR 3D Pro Software, featuring two unique and highly customizable meditative spaces and more than 4200 impulse responses. The thoroughly reproduced ecclesiastical environments capture the massive and distinctive qualities of these exceptional churches with advanced 3rd order ambisonics for high-quality, 3D sound and support for a wide array of file formats and DAWs.
The pack comes with the epic chambers of two Austrian churches: the late gothic Maria Strassengel near Graz and the incomparable Steinhofkirche in Vienna. Both of these spaces offer complex and expansive acoustic properties that render them excellent choices for ambience and epic, sacred, or meditative compositions. Each space comes with multiple microphone positions, which can be easily moved and adjusted via the MIR 3D Pro software, and take advantage of augmented directional resolution for their impulse responses, a process which improves their spatial mapping in direction and depth. Whether looking for a huge, spacious reverb sound for ensembles and sound effects, or a glorious layer of depth to enhance individual instruments and soloists, the MIR 3D RoomPack 3 reverb pack delivers state-of-the-art IR technology at an extremely reasonable price point.

For Vienna MIR Pro 3D, the nave was recorded from four microphone positions: Mic 1 is positioned near the altar, Mic 2 in the middle of the nave, and Mic 3 near the main entrance beneath the organ gallery. Mic 4 was positioned almost on the same horizontal coordinates as Mic 3, but about 6 meters above it on the organ gallery. All in all, over 2000 impulse responses were gathered to virtually recreate the wonderful acoustics of this magical location.
For Vienna MIR Pro 3D the Steinhofkirche's nave was recorded from three microphone positions: Mic 1 is positioned near the altar, Mic 2 is in the middle of the nave under the cupola, and Mic 3 is near the main entrance next to the organ gallery. All in all, over 2200 IRs were gathered to virtually recreate the acoustics of this building.
Added to this are a number of so-called hot spots—two positions in the left and right side aisles each, one position in the rear at the main entrance, and the entire balcony of the organ gallery. This means that basically the Steinhofkirche can be used in Vienna MIR Pro 3D from each side of the main microphones, which allows you to put a real surround ensemble into place! Apart from that, the gilded pulpit left of the altar (marked by a red velvet parapet) is especially noteworthy. Here, too, instruments can be placed and freely rotated—the perfect place for a preaching soloist.
