Power your camera and accessories using a high-capacity battery with this Powerbase EDGE LITE Battery with D-Tap Charger Bundle from Core SWX. The bundle includes one Powerbase EDGE V-mount battery and a D-Tap wall charger. The battery features a 14.8V, 47Wh capacity with an 8A continuous load to last for up to eight hours (dependent upon load). The D-Tap charger charges the battery from mains power using the D-Tap wall charger.

With separately available cables, you can power a camera as well as additional accessories using the two D-Tap and two USB power outputs. SmartTap technology on one of the D-Tap ports allows you to pass battery data to your camera.

Core SWX Powerbase EDGE LITE 47Wh Battery Pack

Power your camera and its accessories for more than eight hours with the Powerbase EDGE LITE 47Wh Battery Pack from Core SWX. This 14.8V battery has a maximum continuous draw of 8A. Featuring a quick release plate and multiple 1/4"-20 threads, the battery can easily attach and disengage from your camera for a modular fit. The EDGE LITE's top plate is also compatible with the legacy EDGE model quick release plate to integrate into your preexisting Powerbase configuration.

Two unregulated D-Tap ports on the device can power your on-camera monitor or wireless transmitter, while two USB Type-A outputs can charge your mobile device. Another 8V output is compatible with legacy battery paddle cables to attach to your DSLR camera or camcorder. Monitoring your battery's status is easy with the built-in 4-stage LED indicator gauge. The Powerbase EDGE LITE can be recharged with a separately available D-Tap charger.

Core SWX 1.5A Single-Position D-Tap Charger

Charge your Core SWX lithium-ion battery with this 1.5A Single-Position D-Tap Charger that features a single D-Tap charge connector and a US plug. The charger features a 90 to 240 VAC input voltage and 1.5A charge current, and it charges a Core SWX battery approximately 50% faster than its predecessor. An LED on the charger indicates red when the battery is charging and green when the battery is fully charged. The charger is compatible with all Core SWX lithium-ion batteries with a D-Tap charging port except for the Hypercore Prime models.

Unlike the person who gave this a 1-Star review, I give it a 5-Star Review because it delivers. I've been using it on my BMPCC 6k camera for over a year, and I have been able to get almost 2 hours of filming (@ 4k) on a single charge. The battery meter is pretty accurate when it comes to giving you "Normal Run Time". As for the battery holding a charge, I frequently plug the battery in to charge at least 1day before an event, then pull it just hours before. Never have I had it loose it charge when it's been sitting for a few days.

The concept is great, but the battery is horrible. Even when not in use, this battery will drain within 24 hours. If I don't use this battery immediately after removing it from the charging station, it will begin draining itself, making it unusable later in the day. I really wish they would fix the issue and release a new model, as this would be a great battery for camera's were you are trying to shift the camera weight to the center. It would also be great for Blackmagic Pocket Cameras, allowing you to mount a V-mount without covering the screen.

Yes, The Core SWX Powerbase EDGE LITE USB-A output could power a USB based product. But it is not a power delivery PD output. The USB-A port outputs 5V 3A.

How long does it take to charge back to 100% when drained? This is a really fundamental spec that needs to be addressed.

The Core SWX Powerbase EDGE LITE Battery takes about 2.2hrs to charge from 0 to full using a Dtap charger. The Dtap charge current is 1.5 Amps and it’s a 47 watt hour pack.
