Does the job

It works - it stabilizes this very long lens. It presumably takes some stress off the camera's lens mount, but it's also good to get some of the weight onto the 15mm rods. I often have something heavy attached to the other ends of the rods, behind the camera, to balance the rig on my slider.  With this lens, I've found that I have to move the slider quite slowly to avoid juddering in the footage. Having another point of contact on the lens helps. One complaint is that the vertical rod in this product is very long for my setup - it protrudes maybe an inch and a half below the 15mm rods, which is a problem if you're trying to get the lens horizontal and close to a table top. I found that the rods from SHAPE Lens Adapter Support for Channel Baseplates (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1876777-REG/shape_lasch_lens_adapter_support_for.html) also work with the rest of the Nitze lens support parts. The longest of those rods is shown in one of the two photos here.
