Love the look and feel, Locking mechanisms do not seem to lock as tightly as I expected
Durable but heavy and not exceptionally smooth
This is my first gimbal head. I bought it for long-term travel abroad. I wish I'd had the money for something carbon fiber because it is very heavy, possibly heavier than my travel tripod. It is smooth but I wouldn't say exceptionally smooth. It is a bit challenging to adjust for fine, smooth movements if I want to do a quick video. With my Nikon D7500 + 500 mm PF, it can either be stable and stay in place or be smooth but not both. It is also a bulky, odd size for packing into luggage. It is a solid product and high quality, I know it will last years. It does allow me to achieve much, much lower shutter speeds for low light conditions (pretty much constant in cloud forest) and is much better than any ball head I have used.
