This fits my MacBook perfectly, and the magnet keeps it in place without issue. The lid still closes, although not quite as tightly as before, but still more than fine to put in a bag and travel with. The package came with little triangles to hold the bottom in place, but I don't feel they are necessary as long as the laptop screen is tilted beyond vertical. The privacy filter is easy to see through but appears to offer adequate protection from casual airplane shoulder surfers.
