miliboo MTT502A Reviews
Great legs, lousy head, short warranty
The legs are solid. I'd say more solid than some more expensive tripods I've felt. I like the twist locks, and the riser tube. There's also screw-down spike protectors on the feet--a feature I wish my more expensive tripods had. However, the deal breakers were the head and the warranty. First, the panning action was very, very tight. I tried dripping some oil in the screw hole, but it didn't help. I'd say it was unusable in its as-shipped condition. Possibly fixable, but not something I wanted to try on a tripod I was going to return. Secondly, there was a warranty card in the box, written in broken English. It said 2 years. Now, for the price, ($80 when I tested it), there are tripods available for about $40 more that have 6-10 year manufacturer warranties. For me, at the price, considering half of the ball head's function was not usable, and the warranty was iffy at best, there are better options out there from companies that stand behind their products. If you can live with a short warranty and no panning, its a nice tripod otherwise.
