Xcellon SH10-10H Overview

Expand the utility of your computer with the Xcellon Slim 10-Port USB 3.0 Hub. Sporting a compact and lightweight design, this hub enables you to expand your connectivity options by providing you with an additional ten USB-A ports, suitable for supporting a wide range of peripherals.

Each USB-A 3.0 offers data transfer speeds up to 5 Gb/s, allowing you to quickly manage files between your host system and your connected device. Each port has a dedicated switch and LED power indicator, allowing you to turn each port on and off while notifying you when an item is connected or disconnected. An included external power supply enables you to connect multiple devices without worrying about overloading the hub, giving you optimal performance across the board. This Xcellon hub offers support for multiple platforms including Windows, Mac, Linux, iPadOS, ChromeOS, and Android devices with plug-and-play compatibility allowing you to use the hub without any additional hardware or software.

Note: USB 3.0 is synonymous with USB 3.1 Gen 1 and USB 3.2 Gen 1.

Expanded Productivity
Plug in the Xcellon 10-Port USB 3.0 Hub to just one USB port on your computer, and you've expanded to ten ports for increased productivity. The hub offers data transfer rates up to 5 Gb/ss so you can plug in USB devices such as external hard drives, flash drives, and video cameras to quickly transfer large files. With the skinny profile, due to the in-line vertical port connectors, you can place the hub almost anywhere on a desk or table or take it with you when traveling.
Dedicated Power Switches
Plug in hard drives, webcams, and other electronics, and see instantly that they're getting power. Each slot has an on/off switch, along with a blue LED allowing you to visually see that your device is receiving power. There's enough continuous power so you can fill all the USB slots.
Slim Housing
Plugging in all your peripherals doesn't have to look messy. This slim 10-port hub sits on a desk or table, and it organizes your connections in a linear fashion so you can keep track of what's plugged in. On the bottom are anti-slip rubber strips to ensure the unit doesn't slide all over as you plug things in and out.
Plug-and-Play
The USB 3.0 hub is compatible over multiple platforms such as Mac, Windows, Chrome OS, and Linux. Just plug the hub into an available USB port, and you're ready to go.

Never had a USB hub go south on me before, but my Insignia apparently did. Suddenly every hour or so one or the other drive connected to it would disconnect and reconnect -- and sometimes would stay disconnected. This was after several years of trouble-free service. I had a hard time believing it was the hub, since that never happened to me before: How can a hub go bad??? Finally I bought this Xcellon hub and WHOOSH! all problems disappeared completely; can't recommend it highly enough.

USB A slot orientation permits adjacent placement of various devices. Other devices' orientation is turned 90 degrees and will not permit adjacent placement of A connectors. Only downside is no powered/charging port.
