Is the internal battery lithium ion? (wondering for purposes of airplane travel)
Asked by: Gustavo J.
Yes, but since it is internal it is permitted to be in a checked bag (still consult TSA). If it were removable and by itself, no bueno.

This light has fairly low output but if your other lights were not too powerful you may be able to use this light very close on a tight shot but just out of range. But please see the output below to check if it will make sense with your existing lights. 180° at 2000K 7 fc / 78 Lux at 3.3' / 1 m* 6 fc / 70 Lux at 3.3' / 1 m (with Grid) 26 fc / 289 Lux at 1.6' / 0.5 m 23 fc / 257 Lux at 1.6' / 0.5 m (with Grid) *Standardized Measurement Supplied by the Manufacturer 180° at 3200K 13 fc / 144 Lux at 3.3' / 1 m* 11 fc / 129 Lux at 3.3' / 1 m (with Grid) 49 fc / 532 Lux at 1.6' / 0.5 m 44 fc / 476 Lux at 1.6' / 0.5 m (with Grid) *Standardized Measurement Supplied by the Manufacturer 180° at 5600K 14 fc / 159 Lux at 3.3' / 1 m* 13 fc / 142 Lux at 3.3' / 1 m (with Grid) 54 fc / 585 Lux at 1.6' / 0.5 m 48 fc / 523 Lux at 1.6' / 0.5 m (with Grid) *Standardized Measurement Supplied by the Manufacturer 180° at 10000K 12 fc / 139 Lux at 3.3' / 1 m* 11 fc / 125 Lux at 3.3' / 1 m (with Grid) 47 fc / 514 Lux at 1.6' / 0.5 m 42 fc / 460 Lux at 1.6' / 0.5 m (with Grid)

Is MT Pro waterproof?

Is MT Pro waterproof?
Asked by: Lance
According to the manufacturer, no; unlike the MC Pro, the Aputure MT Pro-1 Tube Light Kit does not feature a waterproof construction, largely due to the additional heat generated by the module that controls its high pixel density.

Can the Aputure MT Pro be powered directly by the included USB Type-C cable, or does that charge the battery only? IE, can you run it all day using the cable, as opposed to only 2 hours with the battery?

This light only consumes 9w. If your USB-C charger is delivering more than that amount then you would be able to run indefinitely.
