Vienna Symphonic Library SYCHRON-ized Vienna Choir is a virtual instrument with a library that accurately captures the breathtaking sound of four vocal ensembles: sopranos, altos, tenors, basses. Based on the VI Vienna Choir collection, the library was reedited and optimized for the included Synchron Player, increasing both the flexibility and ease of use of all articulations for a quick and creative workflow and authentic choir performances—ideal for film and game scoring, trailer music, or sound design.
Studio Vienna Choir includes patches of each individual ensemble, but also layered patches featuring a Female Choir, a Male Choir, and the Full Choir. If you have the Studio Soprano Choir installed, there's a bonus patch that combines the ensembles of both Collections for a powerful group of 32 singers.
The library features a full set of articulations with meticulously balanced volume levels of the recordings to guarantee seamless note transitions when moving from one articulation to the next. Velocity crossfading has been further optimized for extrasmooth volume changes. All legato transitions have been considerably improved, and the Release Sample technology greatly increases the flexibility and usability of many articulations.
The vocal ensembles were recorded in the tightly controlled ambience of Vienna's purpose-built Silent Stage and virtually placed on the large Stage A of Synchron Stage Vienna using the Synchron Player's integrated convolution reverb technology. Mixer presets place the instrument in its perfect spot onstage, resulting in a production-ready sound out of the box.
