Bescor WAFFLE Overview

Made of 176 daylight LED bulbs, the WAFFLE 176-LED Daylight On-Camera Light with USB Type-C Adapter Cable from Bescor outputs a 300W equivalent output at 5600K color temperature. A CRI of 95 ensures natural color reproduction. Integrated into the WAFFLE's design is a digital display to monitor light adjustments.

A 1/4"-20 thread at the bottom of the light attaches to the included tilting cold shoe adapter for increased mounting capabilities. Power to the light can be delivered via the L-series battery plate or an AC power supply. A USB Type-C to 2.1mm cable can power the light via a USB power source.

The tabletop stand is nice and heavy. But the light is very, very poor quality. The first one I received was dead on arrival. After a couple of days it would turn on but the dimmer switch would not work. I attributed this to the fact that the delivery service left the box out on the street in the rain. I returned it and got a replacement. The replacement at least will turn on, but the dimmer switch only changes the light intensity a small amount (maybe 10%). There's not enough light to illuminate a face from two feet away for video conferencing (which is all I need this for). Overall very poor quality.

The first copy arrived with a dimmer switch that didn't work at all. (That might have been caused by the courier leaving the box out in the rain). Got a replacement and the dimmer switch still barely works. It goes from like 50% to 70%. The first unit was very bright. The second unit is not nearly as bright. It will be adequate for my needs but I don't recommend. The tabletop stand is nice and heavy.

The stands in the Bescor WAFFLE 176 Bulb LED 3-Light and AC Adapter Kit are 6 feet at maximum height. And are 30 inches when folded.
