Flic Film FF38080C Overview

This ECN-2 Processing Kit from Flic Film provides the necessary chemistry components to process 8 rolls of film.

Mixing Chemicals
Use distilled water for all mixing.
If preparing to process 2 rolls of 35mm in a Paterson tank, make 580mL of solution. For all other uses, use 500mL.

  • PREBATH: Mix package into 400mL of water heated to 100°F . Stir until dissolved, then fill to make 0.5 liter.
  • DEVELOPER: Mix package into 400mL of water heated to 113°F. Stir until dissolved, then fill to make 0.5 liter.
  • STOP BATH: Add water to make 0.5 liter
  • BLEACH: Mix package into 400mL of water heated to 100°F. Stir until dissolved, then fill to make 0.5 liter.
  • FIXER: Add room temperature water to fixer to make 0.5 liter.
  • STABILIZER: Add to 0.5 liter of room temperature water.
  • DEVELOPING: Warm prebath to 80°F. Warm Developer, Stop Bath, Bleach and Fixer to 106° F. Each chemical can be reused until the capacity of 8 rolls is reached.
  • PREBATH: Fill inversion tank (Paterson, AP) to capacity, tap sides to release bubbles and soak 10 seconds, return prebath to container. Rinse three times, shaking vigorously each time. If using a Jobotype processor, fill tank to “inversion” capacity and follow same instructions.
  • DEVELOPER: Fill tank, invert continuously for 10 seconds, then four inversions every 30 seconds until 3 minutes have elapsed. (3 minutes 40 seconds for 580ml)
  • STOP BATH: Add stop bath, invert once, and let stand for 30 seconds.
  • RINSE: Exchange water three times.
  • BLEACH: Fill tank, invert continuously for 10 seconds, then four inversions every 30 seconds until 3 minutes have elapsed. (3 minutes 40 seconds for 580ml)
  • RINSE: Exchange water three times.
  • FIXER: Fill tank, invert continuously for 10 seconds, then four inversions every 30 seconds until 2 minutes have elapsed. (2 minutes 30 seconds for 580mL)
  • RINSE: Exchange water for 5 minutes. Take film off reel and wipe with a wet cloth to remove any remaining Remjet.
  • STABILIZER: Soak in stabilizer for 1 minute at room temperature
  • Hang film to dry in a dust free location
  • Stopper all bottles and store at room temperature.

Flic Film FF38080C Reviews

Great Remjet Pre-bath

I've developed about 25 total rolls with these kits. I've gotten great results, especially considering I have been pushing my film and reusing the chemicals a few more times after. The remjet pre-bath is 95% effective. I only have to run a sponge over the rolls twice at most after washing and before stabilizing. I think I'm going to switch to the 1000ml kit just so I can develop 3-4 rolls at a time, but overall, this kit is great!

How many batches of the Flic Film ECN-2 Processing Kit for 8 Rolls (0.5L) you will need will depend how long your super 8 film is. This chemistry though is for film that had the remjet layer removed. It won't work if your super 8 film still has the remjet layer on it.
