ASUS MQ16AH Overview

Expand your screen real estate without taking up too much room in your work area with the ASUS ZenScreen OLED 15.6" HDR Portable Monitor. Designed for those looking for a small footprint for either work or gaming on the go, the ZenScreen offers a clear and smooth picture suitable for a wide range of temporary setups.

Sporting a 15.6" OLED panel, you get a 1920 x 1080 resolution backed by 1.07 billion colors and HDR10 capabilities with 400 nits brightness, giving you a vivid imagery suitable for work and play. Colorization is enhanced with 100% DCI-P3 gamut, 100,000:1 contrast ratio, and Delta-E<2 accuracy, ensuring precision for photo and video editing. With a 1 ms Gray-to-Gray (GtG) response time and 60 Hz refresh rate, you can experience smooth visualizations when editing content, watching streaming media, or even playing your favorite video games. You can connect the ZenScreen to your system via the Mini-HDMI port or use the dual USB-C ports for host systems equipped with DisplayPort Alt Mode technology.

Portable Design
Coming in at 1.4 lb and a 0.3-inch thickness, the ZenScreen is a lightweight and thin solution for travelers and those with limited workspaces.
Connectivity
You have plenty of options when connecting your host system to the ZenScreen. Two USB-C connectors are found on the left and right sides of the screen for systems with DisplayPort Alt Mode technologies. One Mini-HDMI port is available for standard configurations without DisplayPort Alt Mode. A third USB Type-C port is dedicated for power-input and cannot transmit video.
Flexible Viewing Positions
The included Smart Case protects the ZenScreen whether you are traveling or temporarily storing the display, preventing scratches and damage when not in use. It also folds into a stand, propping the display up in portrait and landscape modes. A tripod socket is built into the back of the display so you can connect various desktop stands.
No-Waste Packaging
Incorporating a no-waste package design, the ZenScreen's box and packing materials can be reused to create a monitor hood that reduces glare for greater color accuracy. The foam inserts can be used as a stand as well.
Proximity Sensor
An embedded proximity sensor switches the monitor into power-saving mode when it detects that you have moved away and then resumes normal operation when you return.
Eye Protection Technologies
Prevent eyestrain and fatigue when working or playing for prolonged periods of time with built-in Low Blue Light and Flicker Free technologies that reduce blue-light emissions and screen flicker giving you a relaxed view of your work and games.

Works Well in bright environments

I bought this knowing I would be in an office that receives afternoon sunlight. While there is reflection from the screen, which is to be expected, the ZenScreen has a peak brightness out of box high enough where I can clearly read any and all text. For my computer, it's old enough where I only had Thunderbolt 3 output, and HDMI output, but the thunderbolt 3 worked out of box as the display and power source. Further the Zenscreens color and HDR capability surpasses my old monitor, and I would easily be comfortable watching HDR movies on it. I would recommend this again for anyone looking for something that will provide them an extra portable monitor from now until the near or even far future. The display does come with a USB C cable, an HDMI to mini HDMI cable, and a charging adapter along with the screen and folding stand. I will say though that I found the folding stand somewhat confusing at first due to the number of orientations you can put it in.

One of the best plug and play portable monitors I have used. ASUS should bundle this with their Zenbook duos.

Is this a true 10bit display? It says so but I have a hard time believing that it is not 8bit frc. The Asus website doesn't help

The ASUS ZenScreen OLED 15.6" HDR Portable Monitor (B&H # ASMQ16AH) is 100% DCI-P3 which covers the entire Rec 709 color gamut. With color correction software, you should be able to calibrate the monitor to 100% Rec 709.
