I just bought these so I haven't used them long enough to know whether they stay tight on the camera during use. My 5 star review is based on the facts that they fit my camera just fine and they also fit well on my tripod. The price is excellent compared to better known brands. We'll see how well they hold up long term, but so far I'm impressed.
Swiss-Arca is the way to go

Even after years of camera work I was ignorant of the Swiss-Arca plate system. I am switching over and it's great to have a fast secure way to swap things around. The Desmond gear is good quality.
