Fujinon Polaris 10x70 (2022) Reviews

Alpha class at last

I had the prior FMT-SX version of these binoculars and was not impressed to the point of considering them alpha class. But now that I have replaced them with this new FMTR-SX version I consider them right up there with the Leica UVHD Plus, Swarovski SLC HD and NL Pure that I have taking into consideration the objective diameter difference. Maybe I got a better than average sample this time, but I am really impressed with them and they are definitely keepers. Kudos to Fujinon and B&H for their commitment to these binoculars.

Made for Astronomy and the outdoors

Pros: Bright and sharp image from large eyepieces with a wide field of view. Made for the night sky. Individual L and R diopter adjustments. Built well with attention to finish and detail. 1/4-20 threaded socket for an optional tripod bracket. Cons: Big. Heavy. Needs a tripod mount or parallel mount to stabilize and fully enjoy these binocular's views. Cumbersome to quickly refocus from infinity to closer birds and objects. Slight chromatic aberration at image edges.
