ANDYCINE SP-25 Overview

The ANDYCINE Multifunctional Ball Head has a unique 1/4"-20 and cold shoe double mount that supports and stabilizes equipment weighing up to 6.6 lb while providing 90° vertical tilt for precise orientation.

The ball head mount is double-sided and can be flipped for a cold shoe connection on one side and a 1/4"-20 male connection on the other. The head connects to the tripod legs with a 1/4"-20 female connection on the bottom. Lock in the precise orientation with the adjustable knob thumb lever screw, located on the side along with a NATO rail mount and a 3/8"-16 thread with an ARRI locating hole. The bottom of the head is compatible with a 38mm Arca-type quick release plate and is protected from scratches by PVC rubber padding.

This is a very robust ball head with more options than you normally find. I hope it lasts long, because this is a welcome update to an old paradigm. Well done!

This thing is phenomenal. Just finished my first camera scanning session. I scan images in all formats, 35mm to 4x5, and documents. Every part of this is solidly built. Extremely versatile design. Locks tight; no slippage. Easy to mount. The threaded 3/16 hole on the side accepts a 1/4 reducer bushing, so it can be mounted 90° to the tripod head. One clarification: the NATO rail mount pictured in one of the photos and the coldshoe adapter pictured in another are *NOT* included. I didn't expect them, but the text wasn't clear.

In the photos, a block on the opposite side from the thumbscrew looks as if it might have a threaded hole. Is it a 3/8 socket?

Yes, the ANDYCINE Multifunctional Ball Head has a 3/8" hole with Arri locating screws on the side.
